191/18 – Wagyu Sirloin Steaks:
Following on from the last post, next up was Wagyu Sirloin Steaks.
The Meat:
2x100g Wagyu Sirloin Steaks – £49 from Farmison.
The Prep:
Same charcoal as last time, Pok Pok Binchotan.
6 blocks lit in the chimney starter. Quite hard again, took 3 attempts to get it fully lit.
Laid flat in the Thuros T1.
Steaks out of the plastic, another one that looked like 1 steak cut in half. Great marbling.
Bit of salt then onto the grill.
Couple of minutes each side.
And done. Again, nice colour for 4 minutes on the grill!
Time to Eat:
Sliced up, nice and pink again.
SUMMARY:
Similar taste to the rib eye but I preferred this one, it didn’t taste as greasy and I enjoyed it. Didn’t go far especially as my youngest got a taste for it and kept asking for more! Interesting that I preferred the Sirloin Steak as I usually prefer Rib Eye.
